From 2023, ESG becomes a protagonist in the organizational scenario

The tendency for 2023, according to IDC, is that ESG is a protagonist in companies, with sustainable policies and guidelines, facing sustainability as a strategic area of business.

In the environmental area, the main points are emphasized for next year energy efficiency, water use, waste treatment, biodiversity preservation and circular economy. In the social area, the concentration of attention will rotate around the reinforcement of human resources as business capital and will bring greater importance to themes such as equity, inclusion and diversity.

IDC research reiterates the importance of disruptive scenario assessment that CIOS will find according to the strong technological context.

In addition, IDC brings some predictions:

  • By 2023, ESG will be a standard element for third party risk assessment, gaining greater weight than safety, financial and operational risks by 20% of organizations;

  • It is expected that in 2024, 80% of companies that are part of Forbes Global 2000 will capture their carbon data and report their footprint throughout the company, using quantifiable metrics; /P>

  • Also, up to 2024, 30% of organizations will use ESG data management platforms to guide their KPIs in order to generate reports and enable support for real -time operational decisions; >

  • Until 2026, it is conjectured that ex-expert performance will be considered as one of the three main decision factors for IT equipment and more than 50% of proposals requests will include metrics related to carbon emissions, use of materials and working conditions

  • Up to 2027, 25% of G2000 organizations will designate a sustainability director whose assignments will be to meet the company's ex -ex was met and make IT equipment purchase decisions that are aligned with ESG. >
