Approved law that changes compliance rules against harassment and violence in the workplace

It was approved in October Law 14,457/22, which brought changes to the CLT and instituted the Company + Women Program. Its main objective is to promote the insertion and maintenance of women in the job market, but there are some practices that should be observed and implemented by the compliance sector.

Companies with CIPA (Internal Accident and Harassment Prevention Commission) need to adopt a series of measures to combat harassment and violence in the workplace from March 20, 2023. We highlight some:

Conduct rules written
The company must have a manual of internal norms on sexual harassment and other forms of violence. This material must have wide dissemination and be accessible to all employees

CIPA practices
For companies that do not yet have this custom, it is necessary to include topics on preventing and combating sexual harassment and other forms of violence in CIPA activities.

Training
Training should happen at all hierarchical levels in order to enable, guide and sensitize the team on topics such as violence, harassment and diversity in the workplace. This needs to happen at least once a year and in affordable formats.
